This week-end, thousands of dive professionals and enthusiasts, from businesses to consumers will be reuniting over the DRT show, one of the leading dive expo in Asia that will be taking place in Manila, at the SMX convention center. And guess what? We have been invited to be there and advocate for marine conservation and sustainability.

Over the last few weeks, we have been preparing our booth and activities for you. We plan to invite you to have fun with us while learning about the incredible marine biodiversity of the Philippines and challenging each other on conservation topics.

Because we knew that the event will unite people with passion for the ocean as a common ground and we trust that this passion is linking with the desire wanting to protect it: we took a little gamble (at the risk of offending a few) and threw a question that can summarize our whole campaign and activities…

With this provocative call out, our campaign theme aims to bring up a discussion about sustainability in marine recreational activities and bring awareness to the threats and decline coral reefs are facing. And of course, mostly talk about solutions and personal power.

So, what to expect at our booth?

Activities summary:

• Check our tarps made to immerse you in coral reefs & providing information about the incredible biodiversity of the Philippines that we all love so much.
• Play with our mini interactive reef and games !
• Test your knowledge with games and trivia about Marine Life and conservation in the Philippines.
• Watch our videos about marine biodiversity, sustainability and impact, waste and CRCP. Let’s discuss about what does it mean to respect the ocean and to interact sustainably with it as a scuba diver / snorkeler or free diver.
• Dare to get aware and calculate your environmental impact with our carbon footprint and plastic waste calculators. Let discuss how to reduce each of our impacts.
• Let your voice be heard and participate in our survey about diving and sustainability. Let us hear your feedback about your personal experience (as a free diver or scuba diver) in relation with sustainability and impact to the marine environment. (This is anonymous and results will be used to understand better the common practices in the industry and how to improve to support marine conservation.)
• Showcase your love for Philippine marine biodiversity and commitment to support marine conservation in our pledge wall.

The team and some of our incredible volunteers have put a lot of love in this DRT event campaign. We hope to emphasize how incredible Philippine coral reefs are and to gather all ocean-lovers into supporting their conservation.
