Rainforests and coral reefs are the most productive and diverse ecosystems on Earth, one on land, the other underwater. Their natural richness feed and protect people as long as in return it is nourished and protected. However, because of overloading pressures, they are severely threatened and have been declining at an alarming rate over the past years. The increasing risk of losing these incredible ecosystems will further present cascading impacts on other parts of the environment.
The Philippines is one of 17 mega-biodiverse countries containing two thirds of the earth’s biodiversity. The archipelago is home to more coastal reefs than anywhere else in the world, and has some of the richest marine and terrestrial biodiversity to protect. It is the frontline for the preservation of such fragile and rich ecosystems.

Coral Reef & Rainforest Conservation Project Inc. (CRCP) is a registered and fully accredited environmental non-profit organization (NGO) in the Philippines. We believe that caring for the environment and for ourselves as individuals, is the same thing. It is a learning process that starts with research, education & spreading awareness to small fun steps towards a new, better, way.
